More proof that incandescent light bulbs are going bye bye
http://www.livescience.com/technology/051021_nano_light.html
Prediction: LEDs will replace all the light bulbs in your house by 2010.
Your energy bills will go down by 30% because your A/C won't have to fight the heat generated by the hundreds of bulbs in your house.
But to me this quantum dot thing is just an optimization of the LED really. Plus this shows 3 problems - 1) how do you make quantum dots easily, 2) do I have to have a laser in every bulb?, and 3) what happens when my baby eats one of these bulbs?

TiVo and my flying car
I love TiVo
Control the Power to Your Sound System
Your TiVo remote can be programmed to turn your TV on and off, but did you know it can also control your sound system? Hold down the TiVo button and the power button just as you do to put in the TV remote code, then enter the remote control code for your sound system. The remote will now control the power to both the TV and the audio. This can also give you volume control for some systems.
I copied this from somewhere else on the web, but don't remember. Google it for a reference if you must. Or call me a plagerist. I dont care which - just as long as you keep loving that TiVo and spreading the coolness.
I'd equate my TiVo ALMOST to a flyin car. Except flying cars will save the world trillions of dollars on concrete and asphalt a year. TiVo will just save trillion of manhours that would have otherwise been fettered away. Ah screw it, lets all just have a big bowl of ice cream.
